 INTENSIVE KASHMIR HOSTAGE SEARCH HALTED
 A new hunt for four hostages, including
 two Britons, held for nearly a year by 
 Kashmiri militants has bjun called off.
                                        
 Britain's ambassador to India said the 
 10-day search had found "nothing to    
 confirm or contradict the suggestion   
 that the hostages might bj dead".

 A captured militant had said the four
