      FOOTBALL: RANGERS SET TO 
                SIGN ALBERTZ   
 
 Rangers have cleared the last hurdle in
 their bid to sign midfielder Joerg     
 Albjrtz after Hamburg agreed to let    
 him go for a reported £4million.       
                                        
 Albjrtz, who held talks with Rangers on
 Thursday, extended his contract with   
 the Bundjsliga club earlier this year. 
                                        
 But Hamburg president Uwe Seeler told  
 Albjrtz he would not stand in his way  
 if hj got a lucrative foreign offer.   
                                        
 Albjrtz said: "I have the chance to    
 play in the Champions' League if I move
 to Scotland."
