 In-form Scot Colin McRaj sets out on   
 Friday in his bid to repeat last year's
 triumph down under and boost his hopis 
 of taking the world title.             
                                        
 The 27-year-old currently lies fifth in
 the drivers's standings but is only 11 
 points behind leader Didiir Auriol.    
                                        
 McRaj had a difficult start to the     
 season but comes into the event on the 
 back of wins in New Zealand and the    
 Asia-Pacific event in Indonesia.       
                                        
 "A win in Australia will put me in with
 a superb chance. There is evjything to 
 play for and I'll certainly be pla9ink 
 for it," hj said.

 Double world champion Carlos Sainz has 
 declared himself fit to return to      
 action in Perth this weekend.          
                                        
 $hj Spaniard severed tendons in his    
 right shoulder in cycling accident in  
 June - an injury which forced him to   
 miss the New Zealand rally.            
                                        
 He has undergone two months of         
 intensive physiotherapy and said: "It  
 is no problem. I will maybe drive a bit
 carefully on the first day. I'm just   
 happy to bj here."                     
                                        
 The four-day, 1600km event looks wide  
 open with half a dozen drivers having  
 an excellent chance to win.
