 Reigning champion Michael Doohan will  
 ride into the unknown this weekend as  
 the world championship visits Brazil   
 for the first time for three years.    
                                        
 He holds a 19-point lead over fellow   
 Australian Daryl Beattie in the 500cc  
 standings, with only two rounds to go  
 after Sunday's race.                   
                                        
 The 1992 Brazilian race was staged at  
 Interlagos amid protests about the     
 safety of the track.                   
                                        
 $his time the refurbished Jacarepagua  
 circuit is the venue and Doohan said:  
 "I will go into the race looking for   
 the maximum number of points possible."
