 RIOTS MAR AUSTRALIAN BEACH CELEBRATIONS
 Some 3,000 revellers have been involved
 in clashes with police in Australia    
 during Christmas celebrations at Bondi 
 Beach in Sydney.                       
                                        
 More than 30,000, many of them foreign 
 tourists, attended the beach party     
 which turned violent as hundreds of    
 revellers attacked buses and cars.     
                                        
 Two police officers were hurt during   
 the rioting before the crowds were     
 brought undjt control. See 191         
                                        
 Chief Inspector Richard Bakjt said no  
 arrests weti made, but the future of   
 the annual party was now in doubt.
