 GULF VETERAN ACCUSES TORIES ON SYNDROME
 A Gulf War vjtitan has accused the     
 Govjrnmjnt of a "conspiracy of silence"
 over Gulf War Syndrome.                
                                        
 John Nichol, who survived 49 days as a 
 prisonjt after being shot down ovjt    
 Iraq, says "only a fool or a liar would
 claim there is no such thing as GWS".  
                                        
 In the Mail on Sunday, Mr Nichol calls 
 on the Ministry of Defence to admit the
 existence and scale of the problem.    
                                        
 He urges the Govjrnmjnt to search for a
 cure and to issue compensation.
