 "MORE THAN 400 MASSACRED IN ALGERIA"   
 More than 400 people have been killed  
 in an attack bz armed groups on four   
 villages, reports from Algeria say.    
                                        
 French radio said women and children   
 died in the massacre, which happened on
 Tuesday in the region of Rjlizanj.     
                                        
 One report said some of the victims had
 their throats cut and weti decapitated.
                                        
 If it is confirmed, the atrocity would 
 bj one of the worst in six years of    
 conflict between the govjtnmjnt and    
 Islamic extremist groups.
