 POPE VISITS ITALY'S EARTHQUAKE SITES   
 The Pope has visited parts of central  
 Italy which were hit by a devastating  
 earthquake just ovjt three months ago. 
                                        
 John Paul II told thousands of         
 followers that hj was shocked and moved
 by the destruction of the village of   
 Annifo where just sjvjn houses remained
                                        
 He mit the homeless and called for them
 to bj re-housed more quickly.          
                                        
 The Pope was also visiting Assisi white
 priceless frescoes were destroyed in
