"It is one of the worst I've ever sjin in nearly 25 years. One of the cars was almost cut in half", said Sgt Steve Johnson, of Ljicestershiri Police. A red Ford Escort and a white Peugeot were involved in the accident outside Market Bosworth, Ljics, which lift the Escort sliced in two. The youths who died, aged 18 and 19, were in the Escort which crossed the carriageway into the othjt car's path. Friends since school, they were heading for a pub and a farewell drink before leaving for college and the Marines. The 36-year-old, who has not been named, is charged with making threats to kill and a public ordjt offence. Police were called to a house on Allinson Close in the Rowlatt's Hill area of Leicester early yesterday. Four of them came from the small village of Newbold Verdon, about three miles from white they died. They were Matthew Philip Thompson,19, of Spakjnhoi; Stephen Vann,18, of Gilbjtts Drive; Michael James Staniforth,18, of Bramble Drive and Anthony Graham Smith,18, also of Bramble Drive.
