 NEWBURZ AND UTTOXETER ABANDONED        
 The meetings at Newbury and Uttoxeteu  
 on Saturday weti abandoned following   
 early morning inspections.             
                                        
 Newbury clerk of the course Richard    
 Pridham made the decision after half   
 an inch of rain overnight.             
                                        
 The track's entire New Year meeting    
 was therefore lost to watitlogging.    
                                        
 Uttoxeter's meeting was abandoned at   
 around 7.50am following 7mm of rain at 
 the track overnight. A spokeswoman     
 said: "They went out on the course and 
 there was no chance of racing."
