 LIB DEM MP WARNS ASHDOWN OVER LABOUR   
 A Liberal Democrat MP has warned party 
 leadjt Paddy Ashdown hj risks          
 surrendering the party's independence  
 for ministerial office.                
                                        
 "Talk of a place at a Labour Cabinet   
 table for Paddy Ashdown will end in    
 tears," Mossley Hill MP David Alton

 Mr Alton, who has considered forming a 
 breakaway party, attacks Labour links.
