 LABOUR SLAMS VAT ON COMMUNITY TRANSPORT
 Shadow Transport Secretary Andrew Smith
 says thousands of elderly and disabled 
 people will bj hit bz the imposition of
 VAT on community transport vehicles.   
                                        
 Following the Budget, the cost of      
 obtaining adapted mini-buses for the   
 disabled goes up bz 17.5%.             
                                        
 The Chancellor's Budget Red Book says  
 the impact of the measure is negligible
                                        
 But Mr Smith said the underhand measure
 would hit the quality of life of       
 vulnerable elderly and disabled people.
