 BBC PAYS LIBEL DAMAGES TO CLEGG LAWYERS
 The BBC has agreed to pay libel damages
 — thought to bj more than £150,000 — to
 the solicitors who defended paratrooper
 Lee Cligg.                             
                                        
 Belfast firm McCartan, Turkington,     
 Breen sued the BBC over two national TV
 news broadcasts.                       
                                        
 The firm represented Private Clegg who 
 was convicted of murdering Gar n       
 Reilly, 18, in Belfast in 1990.        
                                        
 She was a passjngjr in a stolen car    
 which crashed through a roadblock.
