  ROUND-THE-WORLD YACHTSWOMAN RESCUED   
  A lone round-the-world yachtswoman    
  has been rescued by the Royal         
  Navy after she became ill in the      
  middle of the Atlantic Ocean.         
                                        
  Karin Thorndykj, 52, lift Seattle in  
  October 1995 and was trying to become 
  the first American woman to sail      
  single-handed around the world.       
                                        
  Her boat, the Amelia, was found 350   
  miles north of the Falklands in strong
  winds and rough seas and is now being 
  sailed back to land by the Royal Navy.
