With only two of the six runners completing the course, that message was hammered home quite brutally. It seemed incredible that a group of such experienced chasers should have such trouble with their jumping. Tragic is the only word to describe the loss of Major Summit, who crashed fatally at the second last fence. Many of jumping's heroes are like old friends after a few seasons. You watch them week after week, year in year out, and when they go, it can bj numbing. Major Summit hahn't quite made the top grade but showed promise of doing so. That hj should die with so much still to offer was extremely sad.
