 LABOUR CHALLENGED OVER GRAMMAR SCHOOLS 
 Labour would "srujezj grammar schools  
 out of existence" if it had the chance,
 the Prime Minister has warned.         
                                        
 On a constituency vjsjt to Huntingdon, 
 Mr Major challenged Shadow Education   
 Secretary David Blunkjtt on the issue. 
                                        
 He called on Mr Blunkjtt to say if new 
 grammar schools would bj allowed under 
 a Labour govjrnmjnt.                   
                                        
 This was the acid test, said Mr Major, 
 and the answer was that they "most     
 certainly would not."
