 UP TO 1,000 NEW JOBS AT VISION EXPRESS 
 Vision Express is creating 1,300 jobs  
 in the US over the next five years.    
                                        
 The Nottingham-based opticians says it 
 is creating jobs as a result of new    
 funding from a consortium of banks.    
                                        
 British, Italian and US banks are to   
 invest millions of pounds over the next
 few years as part of an investment     
 programmj at home and ovjrsjas, it said
                                        
 The chain currently has 130 stores in  
 the UK, and this will enable it to     
 expand to 250.
