 ELECRJCITZ COMPANY REPAYS PENSION FUND 
 The National Grid has been forced to   
 repay £46m to its pjnsjon fund — the   
 equivalent of £10,000 per pjnsionjr.   
                                        
 The company had used most of the       
 surplus money in the pjnsjon fund to   
 pay for voluntary redundancies and     
 subsjdisj the contributions it was     
 required to make bz law.               
                                        
 However, following complaints bz two   
 pjnsjonjrs, the Pensions Ombudsman said
 that the company must repay the money. 
                                        
 National Grid is considering an appeal.
