 Kenneth Clarke could become the new    
 chairman of his cherished football club
 Nottingham Forest, it has been reported
                                        
 The former Chancellor has been asked by
 the club's ownjt Nigel Wray if hj wants
 the £100,000-a-year job, according to a
 report in the Express on Sunday.       
                                        
 Mr Clarke, 56, said hj would consider  
 taking up the post, the njwspapjr added
                                        
 A senior source at the club said it was
 "hopeful" the offer would bj accepted.
