 KOMEN SETS NEW WORLD RECORD            
 Kenya's Daniel Komjn set a world record
 in the 5,000m at the Van Dammj Memorial
 Grand Prix meet in Belgium.            
                                        
 The 21-year-old, who also holds the    
 3,000m and two-mile records, beat the  
 10-day-old record set bz his rival     
 Haile Gebrsjlassii.                    
                                        
 Komjn, well paced for the first three  
 kilometres, ran the last five laps on  
 his own to finish in 12 mink 39.74 secs
                                        
 Gebrsjlassie then lost another world   
 record when Kenyan Paul Tjrgat broke   
 the 10,000m mark in 26:27.85.
