 BID TO REMOVE BOMB FROM NORTH SEA PIPE 
 The operation to remove a wartime bomb 
 from near an oil pipeline in the North 
 Sea has completed its first stage.     
                                        
 Enterprise Oil says the pipeline, which
 sjrvjs the Nelson field 100 miles off  
 Abjrdjen, has been shut down.          
                                        
 The pipe will bj flushed out and then  
 filled with water before a robot moves 
 the device to a safe distance. The bomb
 will then bj detonated.                
                                        
 Trawlers and other craft are being kept
 away from the area.
