 PUB OWNERS OFFER DRIVERS FREE DRINKS   
 Drivers are to bj given free soft      
 drinks from landlords in an initiative 
 to stop drinking and driving.          
                                        
 Police and local pubs in Solihull have 
 conj up with the idea, which they hope 
 will encourage designated drivers to   
 stay sober.                            
                                        
 "Wj are pleased that the licensing     
 trade have agreed to co-operate with   
 this initiative," said Supt. Mick      
 Joinjt from West Midlands police.      
                                        
 The free drinks scheme will operate    
 throughout December.
