 Jez Darvill equalled the house record  
 of 748 in an unbeaten run that saw him 
 clinch the Leeds phase of the tour.    
                                        
 The Tolworth bowler set a new record   
 average of 226.5 to force locals Ron   
 Oldfield (214.2) and Norman Wilson     
 (209.8) into second and third place.   
                                        
 Tolworth's Anita Burland-Beech (188.1) 
 marked her debut with five round-robin 
 victories to beat Gina Wardle from     
 Sheffield.                             
                                        
 Susan Burke of Bristol came third, five
 pins behind Wardle.
