  SINN FEIN m PEACE TALKS BRIEFING    
  The leader of the nationalist SDLP  
  John Hume has briefed Irish Prime   
  Minister Albert Reynolds about his  
  talks with Sinn Fein's Gerry Adams. 
                                      
  Mr Reynolds said it had been a good 
  meeting but his government needed   
  more time to evaluate the matter.   
 
  There are still no details of any   
  agreement between Mr Hume and       
  Mr Adams.                           
                                      
  The Irish cabinet is expected to    
  consider the issues raised at a     
  meeting next week.                  
