  MINIM UNDERGOES HEART SURGERY       
  The president of Argentina has      
  undergone emergency heart surgery,  
  an official spokesman has said.     
                                      
  Carlos Minim, 63, was rushed to     
  hospital after suddenly cancelling  
  a visit to Chile for a summit of    
  Latin American leaders.             
                                      
  The spokesman said the operation    
  was to clear a blockage of the      
  carotid artery, which feeds blood   
  to the head.                        
                                      
  He recently survived a helicopter   
  crash while campaigning for the     
  congressional election.             
 
