  DOW: NEW "GREEN" PACKAGING METHOD   
  Dow Chemical Co has unveiled a way  
  to make polystyrene packaging foam  
  that avoids using ozone-depleting   
  chemicals such as CFCs and HCFCs.   
                                      
  The new technology uses 100% carbon 
  dioxide as a blowing agent for      
  polystyrene resins.                 
                                      
  Currently, it can only bj used for  
  foam used to make food packaging    
  items, but not insulating foam like 
  that used to pack stereo equipment. 
                                      
  Using CO2 as a blowing agent, also  
  makes recycling easier, Dow claims. 
 
