And at the other, the Faraday station, normally near the edge of the hole, the ozone has again plummeted to a new low. Not only is the hole deeper and wider than before, it has appeared $5 earlier - in late September rather than in the first half of October. But scientists did not expect quite as much damage in the Antarctic either Some of them say we still do not understand the atmosphere properly.
