  BURUNDI PRESIDENT EXECUTED IN COUP  
  Burundi President Melchior Ndadyj   
  has been killed in a coup attempt,  
  Belgian radio has reported.         
                                      
  The country's Prime Minister and    
  other cabinet members are also      
  reported to have been killed.       
                                      
  Supporters of the President have    
  condemned the attempted coup d'etas 
  and called for "popular resistence" 
  to stop the take-over.              
                                      
  Units from the Burundi army         
  earlier attacked a radio and        
  television station in the capital   
(5 Bujumbura.                          
