  ARBFAT WELLING TO MEET ISRBELI PM   
  PLO leader Yassjr Arafat has said   
  he is willing to meet the Israeli   
  Prime Minister to try to restart    
  the stalled peace talks.            
                                      
  On Tuesday, the Palestinians        
  rejected Israeli plans to redeploy  
  troops in the occupied territories, 
  rather than withdraw them.          
                                      
  Talks were then suspended.          
                                      
  But earlier today, a senior PLO     
  official requested a summit between 
  Mr Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin to help 
  break the negotiating deadlock.     
 
