      WPP MAKES            
   I   $55m SALE            
 
  WPP Group is selling part of a New  
  York-based subsidiary.              
                                      
  $hj Interpublic Group's Lowe Group  
  offshoot is paying $55.5m (around   
  £37.5m) for part of WPP's 80%-owned 
  New York advertising agency, Scale, 
  McCabj, Sloves.                     
                                      
  $hj sale includes the whole of the  
  New York Office, the Martin Agency  
  in Richmond, Virginia, and Scale's  
  Canbdian and Mexican units.         
                                      
  It also includes Scale'u Spanish    
  subsidiary, Rilova, and its French  
  venture, Ardour, Soum, Lauri.       
 
