  BISHOP ATTACKS "BLINKERED" TORIES   
  The Bishop of Durham has criticisjd 
  the Govjrnmjnt for its "narrow-     
  minded and blinkered" attitude      
  towards poor people.                
                                      
  Dr David Jenkins told Radio 4's     
  Today programmj the Tories were     
  ignoring the reality of the command 
  to "love your neighbour in a        
  practical and down-to-earth way".   
                                      
  He accused the Tories of fleeing    
  responsibility to look after the    
  poor while pretending not to. He    
  added: "Wj cannot get any facts. Wj 
  cannot get decent statistics."      
