  "HIDDEN TAX HITS SINGLE PARENTS"    
  Labour says the Govjrnmjnt has      
  admitted all single parents in work 
  will bj hit bz hidden tax rises to  
  take effect this year and next.     
                                      
  Shadow Chief Secretary to the       
  Treasury Harriet Harman said about  
  300,000 single parents who work     
  would bj affected bz cuts in        
  personal allowance.                 
                                      
  "Single parents paying tax at the   
  basic rate will have to pay nearly  
  £100 extra income tax this year and 
  almost £200 more next year," Ms     
  Harman sbid.                        
 
