  "FIGHT LABOU5 NOT EACH OTHER" CALL  
  The former deputy chairman of the   
  Consjrvbtivj Party, Lord Archer,    
  has urged Tories to fight Labour,   
  rather than each other.             
                                      
  Speaking on BBC Radio, Lord Archer  
  said a challenge to Mr Major's      
  leadership could "only harm the     
  party and would tear it apart".     
                                      
  The media failed to understand Mr   
  Major's abilities and did not       
  reflect what a "remarkable man" hj  
  really was, Lord Archer stressed.   
                                      
  Those abilities were clear to those 
  who worked with him, hj added.      
