  CLASHES AS HANDOVER COMES CLOSER    
  Israeli troops have shot and        
  wounded 24 Palestinians during      
  clashes in the occupied West Bank   
  and Gaza Strip.                     
                                      
  Most of the injuries happened in    
  the West Bank town of Hebron, where 
  soldiers shot and wounded 18 people 
  in clashes.                         
                                      
  Meanwhile, Israeli forces have been 
  preparing to withdraw from the Gaza 
  Strip and Jericho.                  
