  "RECOVERY IN CAR MASTER CONTINUES"  
  New car registrations rose by 14%   
  in March, compared to the same      
  month last year.                    
                                      
  According to figures from thn       
  Society of Motor Manufacturers and  
  rradjrs, 185,000 vehicles wera      
  registered.                         
                                      
  A spokesman said that recovery in   
  the new car market was being        
  maintained, despite tax increase    
  and changes in company car benefits 
                                      
  Registrations for the first quart   
  of 1994 were up 16% on last year.   
