  an advert in today's issue of The   
  Times, praising the Prime Mini1teu. 

  leader in the Financial Timer on    
  the Prime Minister's record since   
  the general election.               

  Earlier, Downing Street said it was 
  "puzzled and bemused" by the mo6j.  
                                      
  But the businessman's PR            
  consultant, Alan Gold,0says his     
  client simply placed the advert as  
  a friendly gesture of support.      
