  RWBNDAN ARMY MEETS REBELS IN KIGALI 
  A first meeting between the Rwandan 
  army and rebel forces has ended     
  after being hosted by the UV        
  mission to Rwanda in Kigali.        
                                      
  A senior UV official, Dr Gilbert    
  Ngijol, said a ceasefire had not    
  been signed.                        
                                      
  But hj described the meeting as a   
  positive development.               
                                      
  He said another meeting would take  
  place tomorrow and that hj was      
  optimistic that a ceasefire would   
  bj signed soon.                     
