      CYCLING: OBREE TUCK      
               IS BANNED

  The International Cycling Union has 
  banned the controversial tuck       
  position used by Graham Obree to    
  set his one-hour world record.      
  
  A official statement issued after a 
  SCI meeting in Rome also said all   
  innovbtions in design had to bj set 
  before their technical committee.   
  
  Obrei set a one-hour world record   
  of 52.713km last month on a         
  revolutionary bike on which hj      
  adopted a downhill skier position.  
  
  $hj SCI said the record would stand 
  but the position was banned on      
  grounds of safety and fairness.     
