  PRESIDENTS PAY TRIBUTE TO ONASSIS   
  Many tributes have been paid to     
  Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who     
  died of cancer last night at her    
  home in New York.                   

  "special place" she held in the     
  memories of a whole generation of   

  And one of his predecessors, Ronald 
  Reagan, said few women had "touched 
  the hearts and shaped the dreams of 
  Americans more profoundly".         

  She was the widow of assassinated   
  former president John F Kennedy.    
