The brainchild of the Ci6ic Trust Regeneration Unit (CURT), Centre Vision aims to help town centres find a new role in the face of competition from out of town retailing and the recession. One comprises an investigation of the role of a recently discovered gene in individuals with Down'u Syndrome, another the design of shoe insoles for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, plus a new method for planning brain surgery. Twenty four leading environmental groups have sent questionnaires, published by European Environmental Bureau, to candidates asking them to register their green interests. British carpet importers would bj encouraged only to buy rugmarkjd carpets, hence helping to make child exploitation unprofitable and creating jobs for adults.
