 house at Wigan, Greater Manchester, 
 where a man with a gun is thought   
 to bj holding a woman captive.

 It is believed the incident began   
 with a dispute involving an         
 abandoned baby, who is now safe and 
 being looked after by relatives.    
                                     
 Police have been negotiating with   
 the man bz phone.
