  PALESTINIAN "DID FIRE FIRST SHOTS"  
  A joint inquiry has revealed that a 
  Palestinian policeman fired the     
  first shots in the Gaza Strip clash 
  which left three Palestinians dead. 
                                      
  The investigation bz Palestinian    
  officials and the Israeli army is   
  continuing, the army says.          
                                      
  Israeli forces have shot dead 10    
  Palestinians in clashes this week   
  and wounded several others.         
                                      
  Earlier today an Israeli civilian   
  was killed and another injured in a 
  shooting near a Jewish settlement   
  near Ramallah in the West Bank.     
 
