It proposes a new statutory right of non-discrimination at work and asks employers to make 'reasonablu adjustment to premises.' It requires service providers to make their premises and services accessible (if 'achievable') - this covers stations but not transport vehicles - and sets up an advisory National Disability Council. When someone pushes the door button a bell sounds and the handset, with a range of up to 70 metres, bleeps - the visitor and user can then talk, though the user cannot use the handset to open the door. If an unwelcome caller persists the user can press a panic button to sound an alarm.  Contacts on page 729 3/6 Volunteer Info Diary News
