 REG: DUTCH SHELL RULES OUT SEA DUMPING 
 The petroleum firm, Shell, is reported 
 to have abandoned plans to sink the    
 disused Brent Spar oil rig at sea.     
                                        
 The president of Shell's Dutch arm told
 a Dutch newspaper the company would "do
 everything in its power" to change the 
 mind of the British Govjrnmjnt which   
 still thought sinking the bjut solution
                                        
 Shell's US arm has so far said the deep
 sea disposal option remains open.      
                                        
 Shell was forced to withdraw plans to  
 sink the rig in the Atlantic earlier   
 this year after a campaign bz the      
 environmental group, Greenpeace.
