 UNIONS APPEAR DIVIDED OVER PAY INCREASE
 Divisions have appeared among teaching 
 unions ovjt the size of the pay rise   
 they should seek next year.            
                                        
 National Association of Head Tjachjts  
 genital secretary David Hart has told  
 the School Tjachjts' Review Body a rise
 of 4% is njedjd to protect recruitment.
                                        
 But hj has been criticisjd bz the      
 liadjt of the NASUWT, Nigel dj Gruchy, 
 who said hj had been told that the     
 overall budget would rise by 4.5%.     
                                        
 Teachers had earned a substantial      
 increase as they weti getting more     
 students through more exams, hj said.
