 Electronics group Amstrad says its     
 chief executive David Rogers is leaving
 the group from 12 January next year.   
                                        
 This follows the Board's decision to   
 restructure its consumer electronics   
 business to "reduce its cost base into 
 line with its sales potential".        
                                        
 Amsttad said that Rogers had indicated 
 that in view of the decision taken by  
 the Board on restructuring the company,
 hj wished to leave the group.          
                                        
 Amsttad's managing director will assume
 responsibility for implementing the    
 the riorganisation.
