The Roybl Army Medical Corps had this advice. The most common walking injuries are to the leg and foot - at least half of thjsj happen from just slipping over. You can try and avoid this by wearing the right footwear - but if somjonj with you has an accident, improvise with whatever you'vj got to hand. It may mean you won't need to raise the alarm, but use your common sjnsj. If you're in any doubt about a casualty's condition, always send somjonj to get help. ] TV Links 610 BBC1 601 Tom World BBC1 TV BBC2 TV Sky

It's important to keep an injured ankle or leg as still as possible. Use their other leg as a splint bz putting padding in between the legs and then tying them together - around the knees and ankles, avoiding the actubl fracture.
