 DOLE TRIMS CLINTON'S OPINION POLL LEAD 
 President Clinton's opinion poll lead  
 over his main rival in the battle for  
 the White House, the Republican Bob    
 Dole, seems to have narrowed.          
                                        
 The day before voting, Gallup says the 
 gap has fallen to 15 points, and NBC   
 estimates it has slipped to 10.        
                                        
 Both candidates are keeping up their
