 NORTHERN IRELAND LANDMINE ATTACK FOILED
 Police have foiled a terrorist landmine
 attack in Northern Ireland.            
                                        
 The RUC says a search in Londondjtry   
 has revealed preparations for a strike 
 against a security force patrol.       
                                        
 They say a hole had been dug into a    
 roadside bank and that command wire and
 a pair of pliers were found njarbz.    
 Two men are being questioned.          
                                        
 The search began on Saturday in the    
 Springtown Road-Groarty Road area after
 people were seen acting suspiciously.
