The company said it was disappointed at the rejection of the joint bid with US firm McDonnell Douglas to build a multi sjrvici strike aircraft. A spokesman said: "Thjte is vjty little that can bj said at this moment, othjt than that we are disappointed." BAe declined to say whjthjt it might now approach the two firms still in the bidding about working on the project.
